Looking For A Discipleship Training School?
Kairos is a Greek word that means “a time of opportunity and preparation.” Throughout Scripture we see that God had special seasons of preparation and opportunity in the lives of His servants. During the Kairos Discipleship School you have the opportunity to devote a 10-month season of your life to knowing God in a deeper way and to making Him known in the world. The training you will receive will give you a solid foundation out of which all life and service will flow. Our desire is that you will come to discover your unique passions, gifting, and calling, and be equipped to pursue those with excellence.
The Kairos Discipleship School is a non-denominational, 10-month, two semester, discipleship training school for college-age students and young adults. The Kairos Discipleship School is conducted on the campus of Life Church in Olathe, Kansas. It is a ministry of Reign Ministries, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Kairos Discipleship School focuses on three areas of development in the lives of our students: personal life in Christ, leadership, and missions. Our goal is to equip young leaders who have transformed hearts and renewed minds.
The Kairos Discipleship School begins in mid October and consists of two five-month semesters. Each semester begins with a lecture/study phase followed by an evangelistic/service outreach phase. At the end of the first semester, the class will travel to Honduras to work in the mountains amongst an unreached people group. At the end of the second semester, the team undertakes a wilderness leadership adventure and then Kairos students serve as discipleship group leaders on Royal Servants outreaches.
Imagine ten months dedicated to going deep with God, finding His purpose for your life, and going to the ends of the earth for Him. Whether you’re called to full-time ministry, leadership in the marketplace, or simply want to focus on your relationship with the Lord, the Kairos Discipleship School is for you!
Time alone with God in His Word, in prayer, and in worship are the cornerstones of the Kairos Discipleship School. In addition to practicing spiritual disciplines, you will receive twenty weeks of classroom teaching from proven speakers and pastors. Subjects include: intimacy with God, how to be effective in prayer, disciple making, knowing God as Father, Biblical leadership, understanding your gifting and calling, identity in Christ, relationships and dating, effective youth ministry, public speaking, apologetics and world religions, and cross-cultural evangelism.
